Boiler care involves two main points- one is operation of the boiler and one is maintenance of your boiler. Boiler operation is a very complicated task as it involves reading of various sophisticated gauges and gadgets and determining the best ways of running a boiler. It is of utmost important that your boiler operator has enough knowledge and experience about running a boiler. Only an experienced boiler operator can run your boiler with maximum efficiency and minimum damage. With experience, a boiler knows how to handle various emergency situations that emerge while operating a boiler. When you hire a boiler operator, you must make sure that you are hiring a well qualified and well experienced boiler so that he could run your boiler properly without causing any damage to the machine. Physical fitness is another factor that you must consider while hiring a boiler operator. The working conditions near a boiler are very sturdy and harsh, and if a person is not physically fit, he must not be allowed to work near a boiler. The boiler operated you hire for your boiler must be free from any disease and should be physically fit to work on your boiler.

Apart from boiler operation, you also need to take care of boiler maintenance, which is an inevitable part of boiler care. When you are running a boiler for a long time, there is dirt accumulated inside the boiler parts, and also, there are some defective parts in the boiler due to continuous use.

Boiler cleaning is one basic task that is performed during boiler maintenance. The basic objective of boiler cleaning is to remove any type of dirt, sludge or any foreign particles from the boilers. Cleaning of boiler tubes is done using boiler tube cleaners, which perform the task in very less time and in a very efficient and effective manner. Although for some smaller boilers, manual cleaning is also done using some chemicals and cleaning agents but is not neither feasible nor economical for boiler with large capacities.

Additionally, you need to inspect your boiler during maintenance for finding any type of defect of malfunctioning in any part or component of the boiler. If any component of the boiler is found faulty, it must be replaced immediately as running a boiler with faulty components can be very dangerous.
