The role of small tools in industries

There are many small tools and equipment that are used in industries which make industries efficient and increase their productivity. Without these tools and equipment, it is impossible to keep the industrial plants running without problem 24×7. These small handheld tools not only help in increasing the efficiency of the plant by faster work, but they also enhance the quality of the product by delivering the best level of accuracy. Here are some of the small handheld tools that are extensively used in industries.
Drill Machines
Whenever you want to fix a screw or a fixture anywhere or just want to make holes for fasteners, you need a drill machine. You can also make the holes manually, but the drill machines allow you the best accuracy and very fast work. They allow you to make holes of different diameters using different drill bits and different intensity. If you try to make the holes manually, not only it will take more time but will also not be very accurate. At the time of drilling, there is a lot of heat produced; hence the drill bits that are used with drills are designed in such as way that they could withstand the high working speed and stresses. The drill bits are coated with titanium and can withstand very high working loads.
Impact wrenches
Impact wrenches are mainly used in industries where you need very high forces for moving studs and fasteners. Impact wrenches are very noisy and use a very high force impact to give circular motion to the nuts, bolts and fasteners, which eventually lead to tightening or loosening of them although the impact wrenches are extensively used across the industries, but it is essential to use them with the specially designed impact wrenches. Using normal wrenches is wrong both for economics and safety purpose. The reason is that the normal sockets are not designed to withstand the high impacts of the impact wenches and can easily deform and shatter. The debris in the atmosphere upon shattering can be very dangerous for people working around. Hence, impact wrenches are used along with specially designed impact sockets, which are well designed to sustain the high forces exerted on them at the time of operation. Impact wrenches are available in two variants viz. Electric, and pneumatic impact wrenches.
Torque wrenches
A torque wrench is another type of wrench that is used in most of industries where there is need for high forces for bolting operations, but with better levels of accuracy. The torque wrenches use a radial force that gives rotational motion to the fasteners, which leads to fastening or loosening actions. The best thing about torque wrenches is that they tell you exactly how much force you have applied on the fastener so that you could stop on right time to avoid over tightening.
Without these small industrial tools, it is impossible to imagine smooth working of industries.
