But your operators working over there will be a lot excited once they start working with it. These devices support the tools with the help of springs. They can make the tools weightless easing the work of the operator. This can help the operator to focus keenly on the work. Construction Of Spring Balancer:

• Rugged construction: The metals employed to manufacture the cover plate and main housing should have high tensile strength and light in weight. This part of the balancer will be subjected to impact stresses and so the materials employed should resist them effectively. The rope used should provide good flexibility.

• Taper structure of cable drum: Have a close look at the cable drum. You can find that it is tapered. This structure can maintain a constant tension throughout the length of the cable.

• External tension adjustment: We have to ensure that the tension in the cable is uniform throughout its length. The spring balancer has the flexibility of adjusting the tension externally. A worm gear system is employed for this purpose which eliminates the use of external tools.

• Swivel: There is a swivel which is provided at the top hook which allows the balancer to rotate in a complete 3600. Tool can be positioned with a high degree of accuracy with such feature.

• Cable: The cable undergoes intense friction during loading and unloading. To reduce the damage caused by this friction, the cable interior surface is lined with steel. Check out the cable travel length and make sure that it fits your requirement. Never forget to bring in the cable overhang into your firm.

• Enclosed main spring: We can obtain a few models of balancers in which the main spring is completely containerized. If you prefer such type balancers, you don’t have to worry about their maintenance.

• Drum lock mechanism: It is always going to be tough if we have to change the suspended loads. However, if your spring balancer has the feature of the manual drum lock facility, then this is going to be a piece of cake for you. Make sure that the device is fully loaded before using this locking it.

• Automatic lock mechanism: This is an additional safety feature incorporated in many spring balancers. It comes into action when the manual drum lock system fails. It includes a safety stop arm, which locks the cable automatically.

• Weight indicator: Check out the maximum weight which can be hanged by your balancer. The manufacture prescribes it. We have to make sure that we don’t exceed the limit. A weight indicator dial can help us to keep track of the weights of the tools hanged.
