Importance of small tools in industries

There are many operations in industries that are carried out by the handheld tools used in the industries. These handheld tools prove to be the best friend for a worker working in any industry. The main objective of using handheld tools instead of doing these tasks manually is to increase the accuracy of the work and the productivity and efficiency of the worker. Without these hand tools, it will take longer time for workers to do the operations, and hence would decrease the efficiency and productivity of the entire plant.
Here are given some of the industrial tools that an industry must have for best output, productivity and precision from workers.
Welding sets
Welding is necessary for joining two broken metal parts and is extensively used in most of the industries where there is a use of heavy machineries. When there any part of the machine is broken, it can be joint easily by welding, which avoids the need for a new part, and thus saves money.
Grinders
Grinders are used for removal of extra material on any metal surface and also give it a better texture and finish. The grinders are available in two types, which are handheld surface grinders and fixed cylindrical grinders. Grinding is also used for removing the small metal spatters that fall on the metal surface during the process of welding. Grinding keep the edges of the metal part smooth and prevent it from corrosion. Another type of grinder called angle grinder is used for cutting heavy metal rods, angles, etc.
Wrenches
Fastening of nuts and fasteners is very crucial for the safety at workplace. If the fastening of the fasteners is not done in a proper way, it can lead to fatal accidents. For this purpose, wrenches are used to perform the bolting tasks in any industry in an efficient way. Wrenches come in three main types, simple wrenches, impact wrenches and torque wrenches. Simple wrenches are operated manually and are available in mainly four point contact. Impact wrenches use a heavy impact force to tighten or loosen the bolt and the torque wrenches use a heavy radial force called torque for tightening or loosening of the fasteners.
Tool balancers
One major problem with handheld tools is that they occupy the hands of a worker hence the efficiency of the worker is affected. The tool balancer is used for holding and carrying the small tools to different work stations, which frees the hands of the worker and hence he can do other tasks. The tools balancer comes with a metal wire placed in a metal casing with a spring. When the worker needs the tool, he can easily pull down the tool, and when the job is accomplished, the tool is automatically pulled up. This also keeps the work station free and less crowded.
